Free online book talk
“The Art of Impasse-Breaking in Mediation”

Dear Friends and Colleagues:

I am writing to invite you to a free online book talk I will be giving on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at noon – 1:00 p.m. EDT, hosted by the American Bar Association.  If you would like to attend, here’s the registration link: https://www.americanbar.org/events-cle/mtg/virtual/455712890.

I will be talking about my new book “The Art of Impasse-Breaking in Mediation: A Handbook for Mediators, Lawyers, and Other Conflict Resolvers,” published in December by the ABA.  The book is available at the ABA website (with a discount for ABA members) and also at Barnes & NobleAmazon, and (last but not least) your local bookstore.  If you would like to tune in to the book talk, but you’re busy then, it will be recorded and available at the ABA’s YouTube page: https://www.youtube.com/ABADisputeResolution.

Also, here are three other programs that might be of interest:

•    Next month, BLC’s Audrey Lee and I will be among the five trainers in the Harvard Advanced Mediation Intensive for the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School (April 27 – 30, 2026, at the Charles Hotel in Cambridge).

•    In May, Audrey will be leading a free Zoom program on “Manager as Mediator” (May 13, 2026, at noon – 1 p.m., EDT).

•    In July, I will joining Dr. Richard Schwartz as a contributor in a program for the Cape Cod Institute – “Internal Family Systems for Leadership, Coaching, and Organization Development” (July 20 – 24, 2026, online and also in person in Orleans, Massachusetts).

Please let me know if you have questions about any of these programs, and please pass the word along to anyone you know who might be interested.

Best regards,

David A. Hoffman, Esq.
