Interested in becoming an agricultural mediator? The Maine Agricultural Mediation Program (MAMP) offers mediators the opportunity to co-mediate a wide range of possible issues on farms or involving farmers. This 16-hour training will introduce you to the range of topics covered by agricultural mediation. It includes multiple guest speakers and daily opportunities to practice and role play the types of conflicts and issues that arise on farms and within the agricultural community.
DATES: Sessions will be held online October 13, 15, and 20, 22 (TUES/THUR for two consecutive weeks), 9:00 am - 1:00 pm.
FEE: $0 – THERE IS NO COST TO ATTEND.
PLEASE REGISTER BY OCTOBER 6, 2020. This training is generously funded through the United States Department of Agriculture, Maine Agricultural Mediation Program.
Multiple presenters will meet with you over the four training sessions from the USDA, FSA, Land for Good, MOFGA, Cooperative Extension, Family and Community Mediation, and many more! The sessions will be facilitated by Leslie Forstadt from University of Maine Cooperative Extension and the MAMP, and Karen Groat from Family and Community Mediation and the MAMP.
