Background
Having studied alternative dispute resolution, negotiation, and mediation in law school, Laura became involved in foreclosure mediation at the inception of Maine's Foreclosure Diverison Program (FDP) in 2009, and mediated foreclosure cases for three years before becoming the manager of the FDP in 2012. She continued to work for the Maine Judicial Branch in that role and as the Civil Process Manager until September 2024. Beginning in 2025, she has mediated for Court Alternative Dispute Resolution Services (CADRES) in small claims, eviction, and debt collection matters.
